1. At any time, interested individuals, or teams, can contact Outreach Chair, Alexia Joiner to be listed as potential participants (active or observer) for email, telecoms, sharepoint repository, or to request any other information regarding Smackdown participation.
2. Teams contact Smackdown originator, Zach Crues, to obtain access to Assembla SISO Smackdown subversion repository
3. Teams select a vendor (VT MAK, Pitch, AEgis, ForwardSim) test program or one of the easy button federates in consultation with Technical Chair, Dan Dexter.
4. Technical Chair establishes milestones and schedules technical meetings and tests with teams.
5. Once Teams Select a Federate:
a. test federates
b. build a little
c. test federates
d. build a little
e. test federates
i. goes on until teams are required to report on their progress.
f. Join a larger integrated test
g. build a little
h. test federates, etc.., etc…, (in 2011, 12 federates tested remotely on their progress)
i. this goes on until event arranged by Joseph Hubbard, Program Chair
6. event with industry, government, and academic mentors
7. event review and analysis, recognition and awards.
